Eminent Ophiologist (herpetologist) Neelimkumar Khaire has been closely associated with the study and conservation of snakes for over four decades. He was the Director of the 'Snake Park' and 'Rehabilitation Centre for Animals', Pune. He is also the founder of the 'Indian Herpetological Society'. So far he has four publications about snakes and animals to his credit. All these books have been award-winning titles.
